PROJECTS
Using the Foundation's records, those at the Beinecke, and other sources, the Foundation is compiling authoritative, comprehensive data about Steinberg's life and work. These compilations include:

A database of Collections of Steinberg's art, both public and private, as well as of works that have appeared on the art market.

A complete Bibliography of books published by Steinberg, of books and magazines that include his artwork, of interviews with Steinberg or commentaries by him, and of the international critical literature, including journal articles and exhibition reviews. The Foundation collects copies of all books, articles, and reviews.

An international Exhibition History of one-artist and group shows. An updated list of current and recent exhibitions showing Steinberg's work appears on the Exhibitions page of this site.

A detailed Chronology of Steinberg's life, compiled from various archival sources.

Interviews with Steinberg's friends and colleagues. This project involves collecting transcripts of interviews conducted in the past as well as commissioning new interviews.

Publications. The Foundation's publication program encompasses new compilations of Steinberg's art (see the News page), biographical presentations, and books aimed at a general readership. As each project nears completion, it will be announced on this site.
